One person is missing and a woman and child are being treated in hospital after a fire at a house in a Highland village.
The blaze broke out in Milton, near Invergordon, shortly before 0230 BST.
The woman and child escaped and were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to injuries, including the effects of smoke.
The fire caused considerable structural damage and attempts are being made to make the building safe.
A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said one person remains unaccounted for.
