I am going to the GRO office in Edinburgh soon and have a big list of certificates I will be getting hold of.
Im struggling with how to enter the sources on FTM12.
For example, a lot of the people in my tree are from the county of Lanark.
There are different Districts within this county (New Monkland and Springburn for example).
So how to go about recording this info. Would it be Source Title is:
1. Birth Certificates in the District of New Monkland in the County of Lanark
2. Birth Certificates in the District of Springburn in the County of Lanark
Then i can use each for lots of certs within the same district/county. I would duplicate these for each type of BMD.
Am I missing something here? I have approx 700 BMDs to do this with at the moment before I even get to Edinburgh, so I don't want to do something silly and double up my workload :S
