Joel Fisher has been promoted to vp music and talent operations at Nickelodeon, it was announced Tuesday by Shelly Sumpter Gillyard, senior vp talent.
Fisher will be responsible for talent relations and logistics for Nickelodeon?s East Coast-based events, appearances and shoots. While coordinating with external partners and vendors, he will co-produce live performances with talent and supervise the production process.?
Fisher also will liaise with various departments -- such as marketing, press, consumer products, digital, recreation and business and legal affairs -- on talent issues.
"Joel?s expertise and experience in television production and project management, coupled with his gift for strategic thinking, talent relations and process organization, make him a tremendous asset to the Nickelodeon talent department," said Gillyard. "He will play a key role in ensuring business operations, strategic planning and overall finance processes run seamlessly within the talent and music groups."
Fisher is a 22-year veteran of Nickelodeon. He joined the network in 1991 at the Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, working in production on series including Family Double Dare, GUTS and Legends of the Hidden Temple.
In 1997, he relocated to Los Angeles to work at Nick?s live-action production facility, Nickelodeon on Sunset, as a production manager on such series as All That, Kenan & Kel and Cousin Skeeter.
