In the video above, you will see blatant similarities between Beyonce's Countdown video and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's Rosas danst Rosas and Achterland.
The Belgian star believes Beyonce distinctly copied her work, and is currently in talks with her legal team to discuss the best course.
Keersmaeker publicly addressed the issue, stating:
I'm not mad, but this is plagiarism. This is stealing. What's rude about it is that they don't even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it's a famous work. When I saw the actual video, I was struck by the resemblance of Beyonce's clip not only with the movements from Rosas danst Rosas but also with the costumes, the set and even the shots from the film by Thierry De Mey. There are protocols and consequences to such actions, and I can't imagine she and her team are not aware of it.
Like we said before, this isn't the first time Beyonce has been in trouble for replicating others original work. After Single Ladies came out, she came clean about her dance moves being inspired by a musical.
We loveLOVElove Beyonce, but if you watch the video above, you can clearly see the imitation. Most artists, from time to time, will be inspired by bits and pieces of others' works, but this is practically a carbon copy, is it not??
