GENERAL MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCES Reward Level 21
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Human Capital strategies.
? Align Human Capital strategy with the implementation of corporate plan and strategy and the core competencies and processes of the organisation.
? To ensure implementation of best demonstrated HR practices
? Identify and implement key strategic HR drivers in support of the corporate plan and strategy.
? Establish/maintain/manage the Human Capital Forum.
? Ensure that Human Resources are planned for and timeously provided.
? Provide direction on approaching relationship with key stakeholders.
Champion innovative, integrated, quality Human Capital solutions which attract, motivate, retain talent and facilitate organisational growth and the achievement of the corporate plan and strategy.
? To ensure effective and efficient talent management solutions, including succession planning, recruitment, performance management, remuneration and benefit management, and the training and skills development of The company?s resources.
? To ensure effective and efficient provision of HR Services solutions (i.e. employee relations, employee wellness, OHS, security vetting, contract management and HR administration and payroll, and HR systems).
To ensure effective and efficient provision of Organisation Development, Transformation and Change Management solutions and support to the entire organisation
? To ensure effective and efficient one-stop generalist human resources support to the entire organisation. Design, delivery and management of all OD, Change and related initiatives are managed appropriately
? Design and delivery of any culture, climate or employee engagement surveys on behalf of the organization
? Design and delivery of any OD and change initiatives so as to ensure that the workforce are appropriately engaged
? Ensuring that the organization is change ready and the design and delivery of programmes where appropriate
? Management and maintenance of the organizational structures
? Provision of expert OD advice on strategic organizational processes
? Ensuring that the touch-points between OD programmes and other organizational initiatives are managed appropriately e.g. BBBEE, talent management etc
Management of Stakeholders (Internal and External)
? Management of relationships between line of business and the various HR business partners
? Ensuring that service delivery is maintained
? Maintenance and management of various stakeholder relationships externally so as to ensure best practice in terms of delivery e.g. HPCSA, IPPSA etc.
? Ensuring an overarching understanding of HR best practice and a knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. BCEA, LRA etc so as to provide solutions that are in the best interest of the organization
? Provision of expertise to lines of business so as to ensure the timely resolution of all HR related queries and requests
Management of the Business Unit
? Development of business plans and strategy in line with the overarching strategy of the organisation
? Recognises areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation.
? Implement the Operational Model and the continuous improvement thereof so as to ensure business improvement
? Ensure that the business objectives are met through effective performance management and measurement
Management of Resources (Human and Financial)
? Ensures that all human resources are appropriately managed in terms of performance and development including performance management and career development initiatives
? Assist with staffing and budgeting projections on a business unit wide basis.
? Ensures that the spend within the business unit complies with business plan and organisational processes
? Management of all HR resources within the business
? Mentoring (including training thereof) of all direct reports in line with their performance management objectives
Skills
? HR related post graduate degree / diploma or equivalent NQF qualification
? MBA an advantage
Experience
? 8 or more years experience in the HR field including change management, HR Operations, Organisational Development and IR in the telecommunications/technology sector
? 5 years experience in management.
OR 15 years technical experience 5 of which to be operating in the capacity of an advanced specialist / manager.
